“Eyes Are Precious”
Free Eye Check Up Camp at Kalinga University in Collaboration with Aurobindo Nethralaya, Raipur on Pharmacist Day”
Raipur 25th Sep Kalinga University, located in Naya Raipur, is a prestigious institution dedicated to providing quality education and fostering holistic development. With a commitment to academic excellence and a focus on research and innovation, the university has consistently ranked among the top 101-150 universities in the country as per NIRF ranking.
On September 25, 2023, the faculty of pharmacy at Kalinga University organised a free eye check-up camp within the campus on the occasion of World Pharmacist Day with the theme “Pharmacists Strengthening Health Systems- Angdaan Mahadan” under the guidance of Dr. Sandip Prasad Tiwari (Principal), Faculty of Pharmacy.
The camp was organized in collaboration with Aurobindo Nethralaya, Raipur. Dr. Niklesh Dalal (DNB Ophthalmologist) and Dr. Pragya Chandrawanshi (DNB Ophthalmologist) were the resource persons for the eye checkup camp. The eye exam camp was attended by about 242 Kalinga University students and staff members and residents of nearby villages also benefitted from the eye camp.
Along with the eye exam camp, a rally was held in Paloud Village to raise awareness about the role of chemists in building the health system and the necessity of organ donation under the flag of Angdaan Mahadan.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Sandeep Kumar Mishra, Mr. Sudeep Mandal, Dr. Semonti Nandi, Mr. Pranjul Shrivastava, Mrs. Rajni Yadav, Mr. Saurabh Sharma, Ms. Jayshri Swarnkar, and Mr. Sharang Bali.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sandip Prasad Tiwari, Principal, Faculty of Pharmacy. We thank Aurobindo Nethralaya for this support in organising this eye-check camp.
