Kalinga University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with officials from Chhattisgarh Taekwondo Association. The main purpose of the MoU is to provide specialized Taekwondo training to the students of Kalinga University. The training will be provided without any financial implications for the students. Taekwondo is one of the most popular and practiced Korean martial arts in India. It is characterized by punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on head-height kicks, jumping spinning kicks, and fast kicking techniques.
The MoU will be for a period of three years. On behalf of Kalinga University Dr. Sandeep Gandhi signed the MoU in the presence of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Physical Education of Kalinga University and on behalf of CG Taekwondo Association Mr. Yogesh Kumar, Dist. Raipur Secretary signed the MoU in the presence of Mr. Ramkrishna T, Taekwondo Coach.
In future, students from Kalinga University will participate in Local, National and International Taekwondo competitions after receiving the training.
It is worth mentioning that Kalinga University is a reputed educational institution in Central India. It is the only private university in Chhattisgarh, which is included in the NIRF Ranking in the year 2022 and 2023 in the band of top 101-150 Universities.
