Naya Raipur, India – On 21st July 2023, High Commissioner of Namibia, His Excellency Mr. Gabriel Pandureni Sinimbo and First Secretary, Mr. Tangeni Hofney Mulunga visited Kalinga University, Naya Raipur, India. The purpose of this visit was to interact with Namibian students studying in Kalinga University, and inquire about their well-being and academic experiences.
Kalinga University has emerged as a preferred destination for international students, hosting over 600 scholars from various countries, including a significant number from African nations, including Namibia. The visit was coordinated by Mrs. Parvinder Shesh, International Student Advisor along with Mr. Jitesh Mahant, Deputy Manager, International Student Coordination Department, ensuring that the event was a resounding success.
Both His Excellency High Commissioner Gabriel Pandureni Sinimbo and First Secretary Tangeni Hofney Mulunga expressed their appreciation for Kalinga University’s exceptional infrastructure and world-class facilities, which provide a conducive environment for learning and personal growth for the students. The hospitality extended to the visiting dignitaries was also highly appreciated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout their stay.
During their interactions with the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, and various Deans of Kalinga University, His Excellency High Commissioner Gabriel Pandureni Sinimbo took the opportunity to provide insights into the recent advancements and progress made in Namibia. He expressed his gratitude to Kalinga University for sharing innovative ideas in development and skill enhancement, as well as for its commitment to corporate social responsibility, which has significantly impacted the lives of many.
The visit of the Namibian delegation served as a platform to strengthen the bilateral ties between Namibia and India, with a special focus on academic collaboration and student exchange programs. Both Mr. Sinimbo and Mr. Mulunga expressed keen interest in fostering a sustained relationship with Kalinga University and expressed their desire to visit again in the future.
