Raipur:- Kalinga University, located in Naya Raipur, is a prestigious institution dedicated to providing quality education and fostering holistic development. With a commitment to academic excellence and a focus on research and innovation, the university has consistently ranked among the top 101-150 universities in the country as per NIRF ranking. In collaboration with Balco Cancer Hospital, a free Cancer screening camp was organized in the university for the staff and employees of the university under cancer awareness campaign. After the checkup camp, a lecture on cancer was given by the expert doctor and the curiosities of the people present were resolved.
The camp was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor, Dr. R. Sridhar and Director General, Dr. Baiju John of the University. Senior professors of the University, Dr. Asha Ambhaikar and Dr. Ajay Shukla along with other faculty and staff members were present in the inauguration program.
Various efforts have always been made by Kalinga University for the treatment of various complex diseases by examining them free of cost with the help of reputed doctors and specialist doctors. In this sequence on Saturday, November 18, 2023, courtesy of Balco Cancer Hospital, more than 40 professors and employees were examined for free through Pap Smear Test, Brush Cytology, Mammography and Thermal Scanning etc.
At the end of this camp, a lecture on the topic of cancer was given by Dr. Nupur Priya of Balco Cancer Hospital in the auditorium hall of the university.
The camp was organized by Dr. A. Vijayanand, Chief Proctor on behalf of Kalinga University, program was conducted by Dr. A. Rajasekhar, Professor, Department of Arts and Humanities.
Dr. Nupur Priya, Dr. Damini, Ms. Archana Rao, Ms. Mamta Netam and Mr. Hardeep Singh of Balco Cancer Hospital were present.
