Date – 9th and 17th August 2023

Kalinga University, a pioneering educational institution in Central India, marked the commencement of the academic journey for the year 2023-24 for its newly enrolled BBA, MBA and B.Com students with the vibrant “First Step 2023 Induction Program” on 9th August and 17th August,2023 respectively.
The event took place at the university campus in Naya Raipur and was designed to provide a warm welcome and comprehensive orientation for the new students. The program was graced by the esteemed presence of the Vice Chancellor Dr. R Shridhar, Director General Dr. Byju John , the Registrar Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Dean of Academic Affairs Dr. Rahul Mishra, Dean of Students’ Welfare Dr. Jasmine Joshi, Director CCRC Mr. Pankaj Tiwari, Director Marketing Mr. Abhishek Sharma, International Student Advisor Mrs. Parvinder Shesh and Ms. Shinki K Pandey, HoD of BBA & MBA programs, along with the faculty members of Commerce and Management Department.
Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University, delivered a warm welcome speech, highlighting the university’s inception and its remarkable achievements. The Vice-Chancellor, Dr. R Shridhar, delivered a motivational address, encouraging students to embark on their academic journey by reading two transformative books: “Who Moved My Cheese” and “How to Win Friends and Influence People.”
The induction event also recognized the winners of a contest organized by the University, wherein Mr. Pawan Nayak and Mr. Deepanshu Verma were presented with a smartwatch and EarPods respectively.
Dr. Byju John, Director General of Kalinga University, shared his wisdom with the students, highlighting the endurance of companies like Coca-Cola that have thrived for over a century. Additionally, the Head of the Department of Commerce and Management, Ms. Shinki K Pandey, provided insights into the department’s structure. Dr. Rahul Mishra, the Dean of Academic Affairs, informed students about the academic curriculum through a detailed PPT presentation.
Mr. Pankaj Tiwari Director of Career and Corporate Resource Centre educated students about Kalinga University’s training and placement policies. Dr. Jasmine Joshi, the Dean of Students Welfare proposed a vote of thanks at the end of the event.
Members of the Marketing Team were also present during the induction program, underscoring the university’s commitment to a holistic educational experience. The day concluded with a lively group photo session, engaging indoor and outdoor games, adding a touch of camaraderie to the day’s proceedings.
