NIRF 2023

Chhattisgarh’s Kalinga University became the only and top university in Chhattisgarh to be ranked 101-150 by NIRF in 2023.

Raipur – Kalinga University is a leading educational institution in central India. In just a few years, it has earned international fame. In the NIRF 2023 rankings, it is the only university in Chhattisgarh to be ranked among higher educational institutions in the 101-150 list.

This ranking by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has an important place in ranking higher educational institutions across the country by evaluating the quality of their institutions. The ranking is well known for its objective, fair and transparent evaluation in which all the prestigious higher educational institutions of the country participate eagerly. NIRF provides ranking to higher educational institutions by evaluating the quality in all parameters. It is a happy and proud moment for the University of Kalinga to be one of the top 150 universities in the country. In Chhattisgarh, Kalinga University is the only University that has been ranked 101-150 in the NIRF rankings for 2023. This is the first university in Chhattisgarh state to be included in the prestigious list. It may be noted that NIRF releases a ranking every year after evaluating the quality of all the universities in the country. In which evaluation is done at the national level based on various parameters such as teaching resources, innovation, quality research, teacher-student ratio etc. Established just a few years ago, Kalinga University of Chhattisgarh has been able to consistently improve NIRF rankings and has become the top ranking university in Chhattisgarh.

Dr. R. Sridhar, Vice-Chancellor, Kalinga University, congratulated all members of the university family, saying, “In the last few years, we have all faced many challenges and adverse circumstances due to Corona-19, but as a result of the integrity, efficiency, and untiring efforts of the university family, all of us have consistently tried to do well and achieved this success.”

Dr. Byju John, Director General of Kalinga University, stated that the NIRF rankings recognised Kalinga University’s contribution of research-oriented quality education, world class infrastructure, and a team of expert professors, as well as job-oriented training and placements, in line with global standards, in order for the university to be ranked first in Chhattisgarh. This is certainly our beginning. In the changing times, it is very important to keep updating the teaching method and not just the university. Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University, expressed happiness at Kalinga’s inclusion in the 101-150 rank band for 2023 and said that under the new education policy, we have been emphasizing on quality and higher standards of teaching. The institution has been encouraging students and professors to do research and innovate. Even throughout the COVID epidemic, regular studies were conducted in a methodical way.

In addition to the online study, hundreds of webinars with eminent academic researchers from throughout the country and overseas were organised, along with Online Study Material, Presentations, Quiz and assignments. We have been encouraging teachers and students to learn and do new things by continuing to organise programmes such as Guest Lectures, National Level Research Symposium and Conferences, Faculty Development Programmes, and so on in the presence of scholars from all over the country and abroad. Teaching in modern ways with online studies has been a great contribution for students, with the help of accommodation, study material, quizzes, all examinations and exam results declared in due course. This is a significant accomplishment for Kalinga University. We make every effort on providing quality resources, infrastructure and value – based education which results in the University being one of the top institutions in the country, with students travelling from all over the country and beyond to study. This will certainly motivate us to perform better.
