Kalinga University concludes two-day national conference on ‘Advance Approaches in Pure and Applied Mathematics’

Two days National conference on Advance Approaches in Pure and Applied Mathematics (NCAAPAM 2022-23) organized by Faculty of Technology, Kalinga University sponsored by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) concluded successfully today. Conference took place at the auditorium of Kalinga University.

Professor Dr. MK Verma, Vice Chancellor of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai was the chief guest during inaugural ceremony. Program began with lighting of traditional lamp before idol of Goddess Saraswati at the University auditorium. Dr R Shridhar, Vice Chancellor of Kalinga University gave motivational words. He emphasized on new National Education Policy 2020 and highlighted the importance of research field. Dean Students Welfare, Dr. Asha Ambhaikar was specially present during the inauguration ceremony.

Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar of Kalinga University gave motivational speech. Dr CP Jawahar, Dean Faculty of Technology of Kalinga University gave opening remarks. He informed that over 130 registrations took place for the National conference. Over 85 abstracts were received and participants from eight states of county took part in the event and one participant joined from USA. These states are Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Pondicherry, Orissa, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Telangana and Chhattisgarh.

In his address Professor Dr. MK Verma, stressed that in New Education Policy recommends that basic education should be given to a child in his mother tongue. Thought process should be nurtured in local language. Ms Shreya Dwivedi, Assistant Professor of Kalinga University was the master of the ceremony on the first day. Professor Sharada Nandan Rao, Associate Professor of National Institute, of Technology, Raipur, Amit Singh Thakur, Research Scholar of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur, Dr Avinash Singh, Mr Dildar Singh tendon, Mrs Anu G Pillai, Dr Tejaswani Pradhan, Dr M Malathi, Professor Govid Prasad Sahu, Ms Priya Verma, Mr Anil Kumar Yadav, Mr Ritesh Kumar Dubey , Dr Rao and others presented their papers during the national conference. Mementoes were presented to the distinguished guess.

Patrons were Dr R Shridhar, Vice Chancellor, Dr Byju John, Director General, Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Dr Rahul Mishra, Dean Academic Affairs, Dr Asha Ambhaikar, Dean Students Welfare, Dr CP Jawahar, Dr Vijayalaxmi, Director IQAC. Dr G VV Jagannadha Rao, Assistant Professor, Head of Department of Mathematics and Dr Subhashish Biswas, Associate Professor and Head of Department of Mathematics were the convenors of the National Conference. Mr Satpal Panika, Assistant Professor in department of Mathematics was organizing secretary and Mr Nigama Prasan Sahoo, Assistant Professor was Joint Secretary. Technical support was given by Mr Omprakash Dewangan and Ms Pooja Raj.

On the second day of the National Conference over 25 research papers were presented. Session chair was Dr C P Jawahar, Dean faulty of Technology. Ms Siddhi Jain was the master for the second day of the seminar. Presentation were given by Dr Monali, Assistant Professor from Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond, Virginia, USA.

Keynote speaker was Professor Rakesh Bhandari, Dean Research of Sangam University , Rajasthan. Professor PP Murthy, Associate Professor of Guru Ghasidas University, Bilaspur was session chair. Research Scholars Mr. Thaneshwar Lal Verma of CSVTU Durg, Mr Nigama Prasan Sahoo, Mr Sumit R Punam, Ms Arpita A Das, Mr Sourab K Patro, Ms. Subhash Kamdi, Mrs. Aditi Mishra Assistant Professor of Kalinga University, Mr Amon Pengeo, Mrs S Nagadurga, Ms Jyothi Garlapati, Ms Priyanka P., Mr Lukesh Dewangan of Sri Rawatpura Sarkar University, Raipur presented paper during first session. Dean Academic Affairs Dr Rahul Mishra of Kalinga University was specially present on the occasion.

Keynote speaker during post lunch session was Professor Dr SK Pandey, former Vice Chancellor of Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur. He gave presentation on ‘Mathematics: the beautiful language of the Cosmos’. Ms Monica Dewangan, Research Scholar from Sri Rawatpura Sarkar University presented research paper followed by Ms. V S R Subhasri, Professor Manoj Ghosh, Professor of Bharti Vishwavidyalaya, Durg. Mementoes were handed over to the dignitaries.

Dr GVV Jagannadha Rao proposed vote of thanks. Program concluded with distribution of certificates, group photography and National Anthem. Local organizing committee was comprised of Dr NK Dhapekar, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Dr Shilpi Shrivastava, HoD Chemistry, Dr V K Jha, HoD Mechanical, Dr Aloke Verma, HoD Physics.
